46 Sports Classics to relive some of Michiana’s great sports moments
WHME TV-46 will help Michiana sports fans relive some of the area’s great moments with the season debut of “46 Sports Classics”, May 28th at 11 p.m.
The 12-week series, hosted by Bob Nagle, will feature some of the top games TV-46 has carried in the last 15 years. Viewers will see games in a variety of sports, both on the high school and collegiate level.
“This year, we’re really emphasizing some of the more recent games,” says WHME Sports Director Chuck Freeby. “We’ve had some tremendous response to our games this past season, but we’ll also include a couple of our past championship teams.”
“46 Sports Classics” will air each Friday night at 11, and be rebroadcast Saturday mornings at 9. It’s the same time schedule that is traditionally used for the “High School Game of the Week” during the season.
The first game in this year’s “46 Sports Classics” schedule will be last year’s Penn-Mishawaka regular season football game. That was the game when Mishawaka ended Penn’s 153-game Northern Indiana Conference win streak.
The series will also show Bethel's 1996 national championship game, as well as action from past games with Notre Dame and Grace College. There will also be broadcasts of high school boys and girls basketball games from past years
